First All Comics, Manga and Graphic Novel Class at Cal State Fullerton
The two Sequential Art courses taught in the Visual Arts Department at Cal State Fullerton have long included comics as part of the material covered in class. However, the Fall 2008 section marks the first time that students will only work on graphic novels, comics, and mangas.
No other art school West of the Mississippi prepares students so well in the skills and concepts of sequential art. Other supporting courses include: "Cartooning and Caricature," "Perspective Drawing," "Animal & Wildlife Drawing," "Heads and Hands Drawing," "Pictorial Background Painting," and many more foundational courses in anatomy and design (Cal State Fullerton Course Catalog).
